Pet Bereavement Counselors:
Indiana
There are literally hundreds of people who are now counseling in pet bereavement, and it is not possible for the APLB to register them all. Some hesitate to be listed in any directory, others are first discovering the benefits of this wonderful service, and many more are still unknown to us. We welcome all new applicants to contact us directly by mail or online at aplb@aplb.org. This listing is arranged according to geographical location. We are pleased that every counselor registered below is a member of the APLB.

I saw a need for offering counseling for Pet Loss Grief after the euthanasia death of my own dog, Chase. My Pet Loss Grief Counseling is in his memory. I have an M.S. degree in Counseling, along with specialized training in grief following the loss of a pet. In my experience, pet owners often believe that something is wrong with them because they feel extreme sadness following the death of a pet. Having their feelings normalized is usually a huge relief to them. Society’s trivialization of pet loss makes the grief experience even more difficult. I offer clients an opportunity to tell and retell their stories in a safe, compassionate environment.
