Pet Bereavement Support Groups: Florida

The APLB is pleased to note that support groups are springing up all across the country. We ask all our friends to help us regularly update and expand this roster. Please send us the name of the group, and who is running it, along with a postal address and telephone number. If there is one, also include an e-mail address. The listing is free. These are our kind of people, and we honor and endorse their commitment and accomplishment.

If you would like to start a support group of your own, the APLB has special material and members to help you with that. We are all in the same lifeboat, together.

By providing this nationwide directory we are adding to our extensive support services. Please note that every group listed here is completely independent, with a very wide range of techniques and regulations — and that inclusion in this directory does not necessarily imply APLB endorsement.

Meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM. Pet Loss and Grieving group sessions free to the public. Reservations are necessary. Please call the Education Center.

Meetings are every other Monday, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. There is no charge. Donations are requested, but not required.

Meets on Sundays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. You must call to RSVP.

If you are not able to make either of these group’s meetings and feel you need to talk to an experienced pet loss counselor now, please contact Judith Tobin.

Please call for the date, time and location of the next meeting. Group meetings are free of charge, and you may attend as unlimited number of meetings. You are encouraged to return to help others after your own needs are met. In addition to the support group, a pet loss counselor is also available by telephone every day of the year except Christmas.
