Based in MD and DC, Batya is an LGPC and avid animal lover, who helps people with challenges related to pet loss.

Batya has been an animal shelter volunteer, serial kitten foster, and the co-founder of a nonprofit partnering with rescues in Asia for several years.

Through her experience with animals and their caregivers, Batya has a deeper understanding of the human-animal bond and can appreciate the various challenges when working in the animal welfare field.

Often, Batya hears from pet owners how a certain animal or pet “changed their lives” (she is one of them). She believes that this phenomenon is very real and that the loss of an animal companion or pet can be very distressing for individuals.

She would love to help individuals work through the grief of losing their pet. If you live in the DC or MD, she would love to explore working with you.
