South Shore Pet Grief Care was developed as the result of a devastating pet companion loss. When reaching out for support, it was clear there were no resources specific to pet companion loss on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. With a 40+ year background in counseling, I felt it was an avenue I should pursue in order to support others seeking support. The certification program was thorough and very specific to the loss of a pet companion. I not only healed myself through the course, but I learned how unique the grief process is for those losing a pet companion. I look forward to supporting others through their journey of grief. 

I am a member of our local dog park board, have been on the board of the local women’s centre, volunteer with the Folk Harbour Festival, the garden club, and am the founder and co-admin of @WeShareLunenburgCo, a private FB group of 6+K members that support non-monetary exchanges of goods and services.
