Compassionate Support For Pet Loss & The Human-Animal Bond

The loss of a beloved animal companion can be profound and life-altering. If you are seeking support during this time, you do not have to navigate your grief alone. My name is Dr. Bennett, and I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience and a specialized focus on the human–animal bond. I work with individuals who benefit from animal-assisted therapy, those coping with anticipatory grief, sudden loss, or the deep emotional pain that often follows after the death of a cherished pet.

Since 2017, my practice has proudly supported the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement (APLB), helping clients process grief that is often misunderstood or minimized. Pet loss can carry unique layers of trauma, guilt, and disenfranchised grief that deserves specialized, compassionate care.

I provide a warm, empathic, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly process your emotions, honor your bond, and learn coping strategies to support healing. Seeking support is a sign of strength, and working with a skilled provider who genuinely understands the depth of human–animal attachment can make a meaningful difference in your healing journey.

Please reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to explore how I can help. To help clients access high quality and affordable care. Sessions are provided via telehealth through private and secure video or phone sessions.

Take the first step toward healing. Fill out our contact form on www.petlossflorida.com or call (904)203-4494 to schedule your consultation. Let’s walk this path together with empathy, trusted expertise, and genuine understanding.
