Compassionate Transitions

Kara Matli, RVT, CHPT, PLGS, is the founder of Compassionate Transitions, where she provides virtual end-of-life guidance, quality-of-life consultations, anticipatory grief support, and pet loss support for pet families navigating one of life’s most difficult journeys.

With over 15 years in veterinary medicine and specialized experience in hospice and end-of-life care, Kara combines practical knowledge with compassionate support to help families feel informed, empowered, and less alone as they make decisions for their beloved companions.

Having personally experienced the profound loss of her own cherished pets, Kara understands the deep bond we share with our animals and the unique grief that can accompany their illness, decline, and passing. Her goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where pet parents can process their emotions, explore their options, honor their bond, and find peace in their pet’s final chapter.

Kara believes no one should have to walk through anticipatory grief or pet loss alone. Through Compassionate Transitions, she is honored to support families through love, loss, and remembrance.
