I am so sorry that life has brought you here. If you have found your way here, it is likley that you are experiencing a profound loss. It’s a club that no one wants to be a part of, and yet here we are.

Pet loss is often felt as disenfranchised grief, which means that your loss may feel as if it is not fully acknowledged, validated, or supported by those around you. Perhaps you’ve heard things like, “It was just a dog/cat,” “You can get another pet,” or “At least it wasn’t a person!” These comments can leave you feeling even more alone and isoalted. I am well aware of the deep bonds that we can form with animals, and I also know the very real pain of losing them.

I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Colorado and I support pet caregivers, veterinary students, and veterinary professionals. I have experience in grief work with a long-standing passion for the human-animal bond; I offer compassionate, nonjudgmental support to clients coping with anticipatory grief, euthanasia decisions, and the profound aftermath of losing a beloved companion.

I work with adults both virtually and in person, and I strive to create a safe, affirming space where you can explore your emotions, honor your connection, and begin to find meaning in your grief. I am also EMDR-trained and incorporate trauma-informed approaches into my work.
