The loss of a beloved animal is deep and the grief is real. They are your life’s companion. Your heart is broken and you may feel sad, angry, disoriented, and even numb. It’s important to give your grief a voice. Grieving is a personal and individual journey, not a destination. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a specialty in pet loss, it is an honor for me to create space for your healing.

As a lifelong animal lover who has also lost special Heart Animals, I have written the book Healing Your Heart After Pet Loss: Honoring Your Grieving Journey and my novel, Buried Deep in Our Hearts, to help people heal after losing an animal. have facilitated support groups on pet loss aand co-facilitated workshops on compassion fatigue for those in the animal care fields. I also provide virtual workshops and presentations on human-animal bond topics if your organization or business is looking for a speaker or workshop/webinar facilitator.

Please reach out for a virtual session for support as you heal your heart from the loss of your beloved animal. For North Carolina and South Carolina residents. Messages sent to me over the weekend will be answered the following weekday.
