A companion animal doula, also known as a pet doula or end-of-life pet doula, is a non-medical professional who provides emotional and informational support to people and their pets during the end-of-life process:
Emotional support: Helping people process their grief and emotions when deciding to euthanize their pet
Informational support: Helping people plan for their pet’s death, including discussing resources, options, services, and rituals
Advocacy: Providing support and education to clients and families
