We are extremely proud to have offered educational training in pet loss grief work resulting in a certificate of completion since 1999, when this type of work was in its infancy.

The people listed here are graduates of either Dr. Wallace Sife’s, our beloved founder, Counseling for Pet Loss and Bereavement which he wrote and delivered at APLB Conferences (a shortened version of the training) from 2010 – 2016, and on-line over a 5-week period from 2009 – 2020.

After his death in April 2020, Dr. Michelle Crossley, Colleen Rolland and Marina Resa, re-wrote the training, using different training techniques, additional resources (both literary and video), and accommodated different learning styles. We expanded the training to 8-weeks and offered it via Google Classroom. 

The new training mirrors Dr. Sife’s many years of practice and experience in the field.

Our instructors trained under Dr. Sife, represent diversity in career paths/areas of expertise, and have a variety of experiences in the field of Pet Loss Grief work.
