When Bella barked, we used to joke that her “Super Bark” was so powerful it could lift her little eight-pound body right off the ground. She was tiny, but she had a personality larger than life. Whether she was curled up on a lap at home, exploring Central Park, or traveling on planes, trains, buses, and road trips, Bella was happiest when she was with the people and pets she loved. She adored her big sister Lucy and was rarely more than a few inches away from her, always on Lucy’s right side for reasons only Bella understood. Her eyes were enormous, her heart was even bigger, and she filled every room she entered with love. No matter where we were, she always seemed happiest when she was right beside her family.

Bio

Bella was our little Peekapoo, our shadow, and Lucy’s devoted little sister. For eleven years she filled our home with love, laughter, and more personality than seemed possible in such a small dog.

Although she left us far too soon on September 15, 2025, her impact on our lives remains immeasurable. Bella’s Light was written in her memory and as a tribute to the bond we shared. Many of the stories that will follow in The Peekapoo Sisters Series began with her and continue because of her.
