She was like a support dog to me – she would stop me if she thought I was stressed while we were out walking… I would reassure her I was ok, give her a kiss and then she would allow me to walk her.
Cali, a border collie/cattle dog mix female dog was found at the VA Central California Health Care System. I found her and my husband and I adopted her after learning she wasn’t microchipped. She was a dog mom – we never found her pups. She lived in several states with us, then I lost my husband to cancer in 2022. Cali and I moved to Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida and then New Mexico. She was such a great dog and I miss her terribly!
Cali, sweet pup, you were amazing and I know you are still “with” me.
