Darwin was a great travel companion and joined me for countless road trips. One of my favorite memories was a trip he and I did on the PCH from southern California up through central Oregon. Darwin was a fast runner. He loved running! And he really loved running at lightening speed…when he’d get going his feet would fly out from underneath him and he would look like superman floating through the air. Watching his Superman run was one of my favorite things…and seeing how happy he was Superman running along the deep, firm sand, low tide beaches of Banden Oregon is one of my favorite memories. He was just so happy there.

Bio

Darwin was our bestest boy. We got him as a pup from a local car dealership that was temporarily housing him after being rescued from the sewer by the fire department. He was taken from his puppy family too young and that made it hard for Darwin to understand play…but made him wildly skilled and being attached to his human family. He loved hot dogs, road trips, and chasing squirrels. He was a fantastic car traveler and was my faithful road trip companion, I could drive coast to coast with him and he’d never complain. He grew up alongside my daughters in rural Illinois and moved with me from there to California, to Arizona, and finally to Tennessee. He hated leashes and preferred a free range life, which is how he spent his final years…roaming our country home yard…and all our neighbors yards, getting free treats from all the neighbors he’d visit. He was a good boy and we will miss him forever.

Epitaph

My bestest boy Pooka, thank you for teaching me that togetherness is the most important thing there is. Love you forever buddy 💚🐾
