Hannah was the first cat I ever had. We lived out in the country, so it was nothing for us to have stray cats around the house all the time. Well, one of those cats got pregnant and two of the kittens stuck around. My Dad didn’t really want any animals in the house at that time. When he went to run into town one day, she wanted attention and he was ignoring her. So she following him to the truck and he ran over her little legs. It wasn’t on purpose, he just didn’t see her. So we took her to the vet, got her all bandaged up, and brought her in the house. Dad didn’t like it, but he wasn’t going to say a word about it.
She lived with us all through my high school and college days, until my mother had enough and sent her to live with one of my friends for a year. I got her back when I got my own place and she lived with me for the rest of her life. She saw me through so many major life events, and taught me so much.
