Bio

Harris Teeter was adopted 12 JAN 2017 along with Misty Kitty.

Harris was found in the parking lot of a Harris Teeter grocery store (hence the name) eating garbage and probably terrorizing the squirrels.

He was a black & white tuxedo who was outgoing, demanded his pets by grabbing his owners’ arms, and loved to sit on the chest of his owners and purr into their face as close as possible to ensure they smelled the cat food he just ate.

He was a boss kitty. We were his owners but he acted as if he was our owner. He lived with his adopted sister Misty Kitty and when he ran out of food, he enjoyed pillaging her dish.

But he was also sweet. He would sit near his owners and watch them while they worked or watched TV; if you turned to look at him watching you, he would meow as if to say “I’m watching you and I love you.”

We miss our boy and we tried everything we could to save him. We still grieve about “did we do enough” years later.

We hope he knows that we love him and were devasted by his too-soon end. We were fortunate that he had a very peaceful in-home euthanasia.

Harris will not be forgotten by us, and we love you forever.
