Leia loved the heat like me do much that she’d rest her head or lay on heaters with me.
The ONE time ever Leia did something wrong was when she shredded a newspaper (very minor by comparison). But and was so upset because she a flyer was stuck to her collar (aka necklace).
Leia AKA Pretty Princess, was a gorgeous, sweet, smart & stubborn fawn boxer- my 75lb lap dog/weighted blanket. She was born 10/25/10 in Pa with a severe heart murmur, but you never would’ve known watching her zoomies. She loved everyone & eagerly dragged me to everyone so they could pet her because obviously that’s what everyone wanted. Leia loved to be with her boys & they loved her. shd was the type of dog that when my husband said she couldn’t sit on the couch, we all sat on the floor. When Chewie came along she reluctantly became a big sister & bonded soulmate, she never slept alone again. Leia lived 2x longer than anyone expected and died in my lap at home with Chewie next to her.
Leia was with me when I became disabled, she helped my boys through the teen years, was our pretty princess & matriarch boxer. 10 years ago Leia also became mom-sister -best friend-boss-general to our boy Chewie. As the first of our boxers she lived up to her name, all Princess & General. Leia was as strong & stubborn as any boxer, despite being born with a severe heart murmur. She (like Han) defied the odds- we were told she likely wouldn’t survive being spayed, then she wouldn’t live beyond 5, then she had 2 weeks left but 2 years later, at age 9, she proved everyone wrong. Our “healthy” boy Chewie grieved her deeply, 2 months after her death he was diagnosed with cancer- 2yrs later he joined Leia at the rainbow bridge. It’s been 4.5 years & she’s still missed daily.
