Sila did not like to be left behind when we went out but never, ever was destructive.  But she would always find one of my shoes and take it to my bed and sleep with it until I returned.  She never chewed, it was just her way of being close to me. I found it to be the most endearing habit and I always made a point of leaving a couple of pair out so she could pick the one she liked.

Bio

My beautiful Sila would have ben ten years old in June. She came to me at 9 weeks and lit up my life. She was bright and brave and unstoppable.  Sila loved her friends, dog and human , agility, her balls and stealing toys, which she did often. She had just enough feistiness to make her interesting and more than enough sweetness to make her loveable. We logged a lot of miles and I will miss her every day of my life.  God speed my bug. Mama loves.

Epitaph

Sila came to me on the heels of losing another precious dog. She was like a rocket, soaring into my life and taking me places I never thought I would ever want to go again, but she did not take no for answer, ever. She was endlessly enthralled wth me, and me her. Sila was the perfect blend of independance and committment, fierce loyalty and easy forgiveness, energy and softness. She was my best girl, my best friend, my best gift. How quiet the world will be without my shining star.  Soar high my love.
