Ranger was always very close to and protective of his “Daddy” Eric for the first six years of his life. After Eric went to Heaven on 10/04/2013, Ranger grieved for several weeks. Ranger and I eventually developed a relationship, and he was my special buddy for the last eight years of his life.
Ranger was born on 10/20/2007 to Abby of Faye’s Border Collies. He lived a very happy life with Eric and Beth Hetzer for six years, and then with Beth and his Shih Tzu sister Burgundy Grace and Yorkie sister Moffit for eight more years. Two weeks before Ranger joined his daddy in Heaven, a female Border Collie puppy named Sheldon, also from Faye’s Border Collies, joined our family. Sheldon will never replace Ranger. She is just one more to love.
You were Eric’s special buddy for 6 years, and then you were my buddy for 8 years. I loved you dearly, Ranger, and I miss you terribly, but I am happy that you and your daddy Eric are together in Heaven. We will all be together again in Heaven one day, Ranger. Until then, enjoy your time spent with Daddy, Papa Gene, Soccer, Don, and all of the others. I love you, Ranger!
