Uga was more then a pet or family member. To me, he was also my mental-wellness support/caregiver. He was always at my side, always the first to greet me. Always, checking in on me, especially in my quiet moments away from the rest of our family. He would come over to me, sniff me in the face and sit down beside me. I felt him always saying to me; “hey Dad. You okay? You know I love you right? Let me just sit with you for a while.”
